Ego Likeness was created in 1999 by artist Steven Archer and writer Donna Lynch. Taking their name from Frank Herbert's classic science fiction novel 'Dune', the band began as an experimental/dark trip hop project. By 2000, Archer and Lynch were moving the project in a darker electronic/dance direction, resulting in three full length albums over the coming years. For 2010, Ego Likeness signed with Metropolis Records to release their fourth album, Breedless. The album showcases their dark electronic trip hop sensibilities overlaid with Donna's passionately emotive vocals. While many may compare them to Curve and Collide, Ego Likeness continues to take their music to darker corners of the human psyche.

Saw Kanga last night in Houston , instantly was entranced by her sound , sucked me into the Kangakult vortex , so glad I got to see her live , should have looked into her sooner as Gary Numan was so supportive of her on the Revolution tour , oh now it’s time to catch up and get further involved Callum Gray

Probably not the best Birthday Massacre album but has some of the catchiest melodies in the band's discography. The vocal melody on Games is sticky af, and the whole project goes by in a satisfying manner. Very pop, very fun. alienasu
A truly original blend of haunting electronics and gothic drama mirroring the complex and unknowable nature of human emotions. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 30, 2023
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
Perfectly gloomy Norwegian goth/post-punk, anchored by a punchy rhythm section and driven by chiming guitar lines and morose vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 16, 2021
