Metropolis Records is thrilled to announce the re-release of Order of the Reptile, the third album from Ego Likeness. Originally released in 2006, the stunning album blends elements of ethereal trip-hop, rock, and electronics. As expressed by Dancing Ferret Discs when originally released, “Ego Likeness is hard to categorize, easy to listen to... Breathy female vocals overflowing with emotion, both positive and negative, expertly conveying the triumph of survival and the anguish of damage expressed in the lyrics.” Re-mastered and featuring bonus versions of “Aviary” and “Save Your Serpent.”
Includes unlimited streaming of The Order of the Reptile

Saw Kanga last night in Houston , instantly was entranced by her sound , sucked me into the Kangakult vortex , so glad I got to see her live , should have looked into her sooner as Gary Numan was so supportive of her on the Revolution tour , oh now it’s time to catch up and get further involved Callum Gray

I was pleasantly-surprised by this album. I was expecting something colder, slower, and ambient from what little I first heard before I bought it. Instead, it's not too unlike the later Mechanical Soul. There's elements of old and new FLA here, and there's parts of this that I rather like. I wouldn't mind more collab songs, for one, or for more flirting with other genres. Give me both vaporwave-y songs AND hardcore industrial dance. Rocket Verliden

Perfectly gloomy Norwegian goth/post-punk, anchored by a punchy rhythm section and driven by chiming guitar lines and morose vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 16, 2021
